Believe for Salvation of Souls
“Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” John 4:35 b
In our vast Canadian prairies, wheat grows abundantly. Depending upon the weather, the wheat is usually ready for harvest in the spring or early summer. Some farmers use a very simple test to see if the wheat is ready for harvest. First, the farmer rubs the wheat between his fingers, separating the grains. Then he chews on a piece of grain. If the grain cracks in the farmer’s mouth as he chews it and becomes soft, then it is ready for harvest. After harvest, some Canadian wheat is kept for domestic and some exported to all parts of the world.
When it comes to a harvest of souls for God’s Kingdom, Yeshua taught His disciples that the harvest is always ready. In addition, in accordance with further comments of Yeshua found in the gospel of Luke, we learn that the harvest is great but the labourers are few. Yeshua tells us what to do to resolve that situation: ” pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2 b)
Let’s ensure we ask the Lord to send the harvesters into the ready harvest!
