“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.” John 12:24-25
A farmer, when planting his yearly crop, understands that to realize a crop, he must begin by first sowing seeds into the ground. The protective cover encasing the seed breaks open to release roots, then a plant and eventually, if other factors conducive to good growth occur, much fruit. Without the farmer’s action of sowing seed, the crop never materializes.
Believers, walking towards growing their faith life, begin by learning to die to self and live for God. When in intercession, this same principle holds true for intercession does not just happen! Believers chose to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit in intercession. As they learn to do that and die to self, they grow in ways which glorify God. Intercession culminates in mature believers who practice such, growing beyond the borders of their own needs. Such intercessions, grown by the power of God, move heaven!
Let’s ensure we die to self and live to God!
