“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.” Matthew 24:45-47
Accountability is word many people prefer to forget, yet it is a very important aspect of our lives, both spiritually and naturally. Whether we like to hear it or not, we are accountable for our actions. We must take whatever rewards or punishments come with our choices. That accountability on earth might be to parents, teachers, work place employees, governments, etc. Should for some reason, we escape accountability of some sort upon this earth, we still face the judge of all the earth. There is no escape from accountability to God!
Yeshua spoke to His Disciples regarding accountability, concerning matters of the Kingdom of God. He taught that the Son of Man is going away for a time, but He will return. A faithful and wise servant, one trusted to run things in the master’s absence, is well rewarded for his actions, when his lord returns. On the other hand, the servant who does things badly, will find his master returns when he least expects it. The hand of the master will meet out that servant’s unpleasant but just reward. As believers, let’s set our gaze upon the cross and consider every matter in Kingdom business as for Him, and Him alone.
Let’s ensure we live righteously & in the light of Yeshua’ s return!
Let’s celebrate Yeshua’s fulfillment of the Spring feasts, looking forward the His fulfillment of the Fall feasts!
